 LinkWare Graphic Offerings

Graphics offered in the LinkWare graphic pages are made up exclusively of original graphic compositions. Most graphic pieces are original and made from scratch.  Some graphic parts are commercial images that make up the social landscape and use by fans acceptable. 

LinkWare graphics are not for use in graphic offerings of any kind.  I make these graphics to promote interest in my site and to offer visitors unique images that are not available anywhere else. In other words, these graphics are for Disney and fantasy lovers to decorate their pages.  If you want to distribute graphics, you should make your own.  Let me know if you need help.  I would  be happy to help any beginner graphic artists.  All WQ images are encoded with my information regarding the source and visible and hidden brands are used.

Also, I would like to make a clarification about clipart and graphics. 

Clipart is a term used by artist professionals to define imagery that can be used copyright free.  That is what clipart means.  This meaning has been lost on the net, as so many people misuse this term.  Clipart is usually purchased at art stores and is put out by various companies that provide imagery to professional artists and individuals that need imagery for materials like flyers, newsletters, and even advertisements.  It is also acceptable to use and incorporate into fine art.  Usually, the only thing you can't do with clipart is sell it as clipart, thus stealing the product of the original provider of the clipart.

Graphics, however, are not clipart.  These two terms should not be confused.  Much clipart is found by the clipart provider through old material where the copyrights have expired.  However, a great deal of clipart is done by artist who are paid for their work, knowing it will be sold as clipart.  When you purchase clipart, you are in fact purchasing a type of copyright agreement.  However, a finished graphic is not clipart and the copyright agreement defined by the term "clipart" is not implied.  The artist who has made the graphics may define the terms as they choose.  It is their work and they can ask anything they want for use of it or withhold it all together.  Also, don't be confused.  If you see that an artist has incorporated a piece of clipart into their work, that does not make it clipart.  Not by a long shot.

The Disney imagery is not clipart either.  However, the Disney people graciously allow us fans to use their character images.  WhimsyQuest Disney LinkWare is fan art and is provided by WQ, as fan art.  It is not available for commercial use.
